What YOU will get in the 7-Day Health and Fitness Challenge….

Live daily workouts

Every day Zoey will be coaching you through various training routines. You will learn to improve movement and technique on all the key lifts that you’d perform. At a very basic level the live workouts will be largely bodyweight, but you will have an option to add in external load such as dumbbells, barbells, bands or kettlebells. The workouts will therefore be suitable for beginners and more advanced gym goers.

An array of expert guest speakers on key areas of female health and fitness 

Orla O’Flaherty is a Naturopath & Herbalist who specialises in female health and wellness. Orla looks for the root cause of hormone imbalance to support the body’s natural abilities to bring itself back into balance using herbs, supplements and nutrition. Knowledge is power and it is Orla’s mission to give many women as much information around their hormones, bodies and mindset as she possibly can.

Nutritionist Aimee O’Keeffe will deep dive into all your nutritional questions for optimal health and performance. She will cover the basics of protein, fat and carbs and how to optimise the use of these for performance and lifestyle specific to you. 

Jess Huggins will be delivering a live video on the menstrual cycle and how it affects training and lifestyle. She will discuss what training is best suited to what stage of the cycle you’re in, what foods to eat and answer ANY questions that you have in relation to the menstrual cycle.

Zoey will be delivering daily mindset units to ensure you're mentally in the right place to succeed on your health and fitness journey. Training is a major component of improving the way you look, move and feel but if our mindset isn’t in the right place for the long haul there will be a breakdown and therefore a lack of results. Zoey will tap into key mindset areas to ensure you're happy, confident and focused to achieve your goals. 

There will be two focused live Q&A’s in the week for you to ask us all your training questions. This can be anything from warmups, muscle growth, increasing strength or fat loss. This will be an opportunity for you to ask specific questions to help you get closer to your fitness goals. This will also be an opportunity for us to bust fitness myths that still continue to circulate social media!


COMMUNITY SUPPORT

You will join a private Facebook group with like-minded females who have similar goals to you. All the coaches from Empowered Woman will also be in the group ensuring there is a powerful and knowledgeable community of women that can support each other throughout the week challenge. 
Once the challenge is finished doesn’t mean the group ends, you will be invited to join the Empowered Woman Health & Fitness Community where women from previous challenges will be so you can continue to be supported after the challenge. There is weekly content from the team at Empowered Woman to ensure you stay motivated and educated. 

RELAX & UNWIND

We will lead you through focused breathing exercises to ensure that something we do autonomously 24/7 365 days a year is done with optimal health and performance in mind. This will have an awesome impact on your ability to unwind and recover as well as train to the best of your ability.

HOW IT ALL STARTED FOR ME...

FALLING ILL/SURGERY

 In 2012 at the age of 19 I was diagnosed with a chronic illness - Inflammatory Bowel Disease. This was when my health & fitness journey truly begun. Exercise became my therapy during the 2 years where I fought to keep my large intestine but due to my condition becoming more severe I had to have life changing surgery which resulted in living with a ostomy bag...

OVERCOMING THE DEMONS

Accepting my ostomy bag was incredibly overwhelming, I had many dark days where I found It hard looking back at my reflection in the mirror. It took every last bit of strength to overcome the demons in my mind, this was my 2nd chance of living and I decided I wasn’t going to let it define me, I was going to celebrate it whilst spreading awareness! 

MY ACHIEVEMENTS

10 months post-surgery in 2015 I stepped on stage in my first ever fitness modelling show and won 1st place in Body transformation & Figure. In 2016 I was given my ‘PRO’ status and achieved 1st place in the PRO Figure category and finally in 2017 my ultimate dream came true I was crowned the overall winner with Pure Elite the fastest growing fitness modelling federation in Europe!

The past few years have helped shape me as the person I am today. I was determined to create a brand that focuses on all aspects of health and fitness that educate women on what they need to do to achieve their goals. This is why I created Empowered Woman and I have brought in a big team of experts in all areas of female health to create the most comprehensive training platform on the market, all with the end goal of helping women just like YOU.
